From the edges of my mind presents a place I’ve been before. Lit by the possibility of an open road.
A style is evolving. After a light varnish on this piece, nothing else is needed. I’m enjoying the feel for big skies and an open mind. My latest series celebrates a simple landscape built up by texture and its layers.
I use a variation of molding paste and heavy gel mediums that accent depth and a sense of “stilled movement” within each landscape. Sculpting these works with levellers and brushes, my curiosity and whimsy lies in the spaces between our destinations..
